Our Programs

There are two programs within The Cavan Autism Centre. Each program was developed to provide supports in the areas of Independent Living, Recreation, Education and Vocational Training.

Thrive


We offer a centre-based programme called ‘Thrive’ that places an emphasis on:

·        Independent living skills

·        Improving life skills

·        Social skills/inclusion

·        Recreational activities


Unity


Our ‘Unity’ programme focuses on supporting individuals to have fully inclusive, meaningful roles in their communities such as:

·        Work Experience

·        Volunteering

·        Advocacy

·        Social Farming initiatives

·        Independent Travel

·        Accessing community amenities


Community

Community is the family that goes beyond family. It is the people and places that we come in contact with each and every day. When we strengthen communities, we strengthen individuals.

What we do

The Cavan Autism Centre CLG provides an autism specific day service for adults with a primary diagnosis of autism between the age of 18 - 35. We empower and support each individual to pursue their goals and become active members of their local community.
